 At WA Nursing Care Group, we understand how much community participation can change a person’s well-being and we constantly work towards establishing an environment that engages people and encourages them to interact more freely.

We are committed to helping you to achieve your goals, giving you the opportunity to realise your potential for physical, social, emotional and intellectual growth.

  • Working alongside you to participate in activities that are important to you. This might include: sports, hobby groups or your local library.
  • Assisting you to link in with an organisation for volunteering.
  • Assisting you to go on a day trip / holiday.
  • Assisting you with daily tasks in the community, shopping, banking etc.
  •  Participating in community events or being part of a club

Daily and Personal Activities Including SIL

  Every person living with a disability has different needs and requires different supports. 

Some specific examples of things you might be able to use Assistance with Daily Life funding for include:

  • Help with getting ready for your day (self care such as showering, dressing etc.)
  • High intensity self care activities
  • Overnight sleepover support or assistance from a live-in carer
  • Support to help you get out and about in the community including driving you to places or accompanying you on public transport
  • Help to do household chores such as cleaning or linen service if you are unable to manage your own laundry
  • Getting help around the yard such as basic yard work lawn mowing or gardening
  • Someone to assist with food preparation and meals, or the costs associated with meal delivery
  • Support with health and fitness
  • Assistance getting to appointments.

Community Nursing Care

Assist with Travel and Transport

 

Community Nursing Care is provided to participants who has complex individual support needs that are best met by someone who has medical training and experience, to meet the Participants complex health needs. This service is considered when specific individual support needs include:

  • Very limited communication;
  • Behaviour support needs; and/or
  • Medical needs/procedures such as ventilation or home enteral nutrition.

WA Nursing Care Group  is Registered NDIS Provider for Community Nursing Care. We can deliver:

  • Complex Bowel Care
  • Enteral (Naso-Gastric Tube – Jejunum or Duodenum) Feeding and Management
  • Tracheostomy Management
  • Urinary Catheter Management (In-dwelling Urinary Catheter, In-out Catheter, Suprapubic Catheter)
  • Subcutaneous Injections
  • Complex Wound Management
  • Day-to-day management of medication

Assist with Travel and Transport

 

This type of support relates to the assistance of our clients in getting from one location to another, where through our trained staff can transport them to and from their place of work to appointments. 

WA Nursing Care Group can support you with a range of Travel and Transport Assistance including driving you to and from appointments, assisting with grocery shopping, getting you to and from activities and attending community events.

Our dedicated staff are happy to assist you with travel arrangements for you to ensure that you are supported in the best way possible.

 This type of support is based on the participant’s disability support needs for example:

  • Low mobility due to wheelchair
  • Specific requirements for travel

Our experienced and trained staff guide/trained them to be independent for the travel with safety precaution.

Household Tasks

 A key factor in maintaining happiness and general wellbeing is having a clean and well organised home. The NDIS household tasks category provides you with support from experienced NDIS providers in a range of domestic chores and household activities.
